SOELPEC Terra LX Review Roundup: Premium Control Without a Screen
Source video: Dan Suzuki — My new DAILY driver! This €829 Wheel Shouldn’t Be This Good … | Soelpec Terra LX Review.
Short answer
The Terra LX is a premium control-focused wheel without an integrated display. Its value lies in 136 possible inputs, 128 RGB LEDs and excellent shifter ergonomics in Dan Suzuki’s test. It suits drivers who will actually use layered controls; a simpler wheel is better if most encoders would remain unassigned.
Evidence and verification scope
This analysis uses Dan Suzuki’s hands-on review, current SOELPEC specifications and the live TFS page. The video’s direct price is historical and must not be confused with the current TFS price. Data was rechecked on 30 July 2026.
Current product data
| Point | Verified current data |
|---|---|
| Price | €1,049.90; Arctic, Lava and Basalt listed |

Why the Terra LX is not a conventional “entry” wheel
SOELPEC calls the Terra LX its entry model, but the construction and control architecture place it firmly in premium GT territory. The body uses CNC-machined 6061-T6 aluminium, silicone grips and a standard 70 mm mounting pattern.

HybridLink: more functions without more hardware
Four HybridSwitch encoders, thumb encoders and 7-way controls can expose several logical functions. Dan’s review highlights the visual feedback around those controls as the feature that makes the layers usable rather than theoretical.
DuoACT shifters and ergonomics
The source test rates the combined mechanical and Hall-sensor shifters exceptionally highly. The 297 mm format sits between Formula and full GT dimensions, supporting GT, prototype and Formula use without becoming too slow on a lower-torque base.
Price reconciliation
The video quoted €829 plus taxes with a direct promotional code. That is not the current TFS checkout price. The live TFS variants were €1,049.90 when this article was prepared, so the historical video price should not be used as a store promise.
Who is it for?
For drivers who regularly adjust brake bias, TC, ABS, engine maps and black-box navigation across GT3, LMU or iRacing. Simpler wheels remain better when only a few controls are used.TFS verdict
The Terra LX offers flagship interaction rather than an entry-level experience. Its real value is the combination of feedback, controls and build below the price of many display-equipped premium wheels.Control density, display choice and total setup
The Terra LX does not include an integrated telemetry display. That keeps the wheel relatively light and leaves the driver free to use a fixed dashboard or VR. The four HybridSwitch encoders, thumb encoders and illuminated feedback only justify the learning curve when car adjustments are used regularly.
The standard 70 mm pattern and USB connection make the wheel mechanically open, but the required Quick Release or adapter depends on the base. Optional Hall-sensor dual clutch paddles should be confirmed for the selected configuration.
