Refund policy

1 – 14-Day Withdrawal Period (EU Customers)

In accordance with EU consumer law, you have the right to cancel or return your order within 14 calendar days from the date of delivery, without providing any reason or paying any penalty.

This right applies to private (non-business) customers residing in the European Union and for standard, non-customized products only.

2 – Return Eligibility

To be eligible for a return, the item must:

  • be in the same condition as received,
  • not have been used or installed (inspection allowed, usage not),
  • include all original packaging, tags, accessories, and manuals,
  • be accompanied by proof of purchase (receipt, invoice).

Items returned that do not meet these conditions may be subject to a reduction or refusal of refund.

3 – Non-Returnable Items

In accordance with EU law (Article L221-28 of the French Consumer Code), the following items cannot be returned or refunded:

  • customized or made-to-order products,
  • gift cards,
  • discounted or clearance items (unless otherwise stated),
  • items involving hygiene or personal wear and tear (e.g. opened seats, gloves, cushions).

If in doubt, please contact us before placing your order.

3 bis – Bulky Items (Seats, Frames, Sim Rigs, etc.)

Certain large products such as racing seats, frames, or sim rigs are non-returnable and non-refundable, except in the case of proven defect or delivery error.

It is the customer’s responsibility to verify all dimensions, specifications, and compatibility before purchasing. These are clearly provided on the product pages. If you are unsure, you are strongly advised to contact our support team before ordering at contact@thefrenchsimracer.com.

If a return is exceptionally accepted (as a commercial gesture), the return costs will be:

  • either at the customer’s own expense via their chosen courier,
  • or deducted from the refund amount, based on a pre-approved transport quote accepted by the customer.

The refund will only be issued after the product has been received, inspected, and the return shipping cost confirmed.

4 – How to Request a Return

To initiate a return, please email us at: contact@thefrenchsimracer.com.

If your return is accepted, you’ll receive instructions and the appropriate return address. Items sent back without first requesting a return will not be accepted.

The return shipping cost is the responsibility of the customer. You are liable for the parcel until it is received by us. We recommend using tracked and insured shipping.

5 – Opened or Damaged Products

Products returned used, opened, damaged, or incomplete may be subject to a refund reduction:

  • Minimum deduction: 15%
  • Maximum deduction: up to 50%, based on the item's condition upon return

Initial shipping costs are non-refundable, unless the return is due to our error.

6 – Damaged, Defective or Incorrect Items

Please inspect your order immediately upon delivery. If your item is damaged, faulty, or incorrect, email us within 48 hours at contact@thefrenchsimracer.com with photo evidence.

After verification, we will offer a replacement, store credit or refund, depending on the case.

7 – Exchanges

We do not process direct exchanges. If you wish to order another item, please return your product according to the conditions above, then place a new order separately.

8 – Refunds

We will notify you once we’ve received and inspected your return. If approved, your refund will be issued to your original payment method within 10 business days.

Bank processing times may vary depending on your provider. If you haven’t received your refund after 15 business days from approval, please contact us.
