SimNet SP Pro Guide: 2 or 3 Pedals, Haptics and Compatibility

The SimNet SP Pro 2-pedal set is the sensible €249.90 choice for GT, Formula and two-pedal cars. Pay €299.90 for the 3-pedal version only if you genuinely use a clutch. Both include the control box and a 100 kg Load Cell brake. The bundles add a baseplate and optional haptics; they are not the same product at a lower headline price.

The €50 gap between the bare sets is small, but a clutch you never use adds width, weight and cost. Conversely, adding a clutch later is possible, but buying the correct configuration from the start is cleaner.
A 100 kg Load Cell with springs and elastomers
The brake uses a 100 kg Load Cell and offers a wide mix of elastomers and springs. The TFS listing includes 60A, 80A and 90A elastomers plus springs ranging from 58 kg to 216 kg ratings. These figures describe components, not the exact force your leg must apply.
Serial Driver found the brake travel generous enough for accurate modulation and judged the 100 kg sensor sufficient for most drivers. His reservations concerned the relatively limited mechanical positioning compared with more expensive pedals and the time required to find the right stack. The value lies in tuning the response for your seating position, not automatically choosing the hardest combination.
The 2-pedal set weighs 3.3 kg without baseplate; the 3-pedal set weighs 4.8 kg. A rigid cockpit or the dedicated baseplate is strongly recommended. A high-force Load Cell set placed loosely on the floor defeats its main advantage.
Which haptic option makes sense?
SimNet offers linear motors, rumble motors and a tactile transducer. These can communicate ABS, wheel lock, traction events or other telemetry through SimHub on PC. They require the appropriate mounts, controller path and power supply; do not assume that every bundle includes every motor.
- Linear motor: the strongest and most controlled option for precise events.
- Rumble motor: a simpler vibration solution at lower cost.
- Tactile transducer: broader vibration rather than a sharply defined pedal reaction.
In the reviewed configuration, haptics were a PC/SimHub feature. Serial Driver explicitly noted that they did not operate through the Fanatec console connection at the time of his test.
PC, USB and Fanatec connection
For PC, the normal route is USB to the supplied control box, followed by calibration in SimNet software. The system exposes dead zones and response settings, while SimHub handles compatible haptic effects.
The review also demonstrated pedal inputs recognised through a wired connection to a Fanatec base after initial PC activation and calibration. That is useful evidence, but not a blanket console guarantee: Serial Driver did not have a console available to complete the final GT7 test. If PlayStation or Xbox is the reason for purchase, ask TFS to confirm the exact base, cable, firmware and game before ordering.

Two pedals at €249.90 for a rigid PC cockpit. Add the baseplate only if your existing pedal deck cannot position the separate pedals properly.

Is the control box included?
Yes, both bare 2- and 3-pedal TFS sets list the control box as included.
Do I need the baseplate?
Not if your aluminium-profile pedal deck can mount and support the individual pedals correctly. It is useful for a complete heel support and easier spacing.
Are haptics required?
No. They add telemetry feedback but do not improve the Load Cell sensor itself. Start with correct brake ergonomics and calibration.
