Three different approaches to braking
VX-PRO: mechanical clarity
The VX-PRO uses industrial springs and a dual-stage mechanism rather than making hydraulics the selling point. Its 200 kg Load Cell does not mean you press with 200 kg: Simgrade publishes up to 90 kg maximum foot force. The advantage is direct mechanical adjustment and a clear transition between stages. The trade-off is that setup is exposed and may require more experimentation.
P1000: elastomers first, hydraulics later
The standard P1000 uses a 100 kg Load Cell with an elastomer stack. It is the least expensive three-pedal option here and can later accept the P-HYS hydraulic brake, hydraulic throttle, alternative elastomers and springs. That path is useful if you want to build progressively, but a fully upgraded P1000 can cost far more than the €569.90 starting price.
P2000: hydraulic from day one
The P2000-S100-R combines a hydraulic brake with a 100 kg Load Cell and includes the baseplate and Haptic Control Box. Hydraulic resistance can provide a different pressure build-up and damping feel; it does not automatically make pedal input more accurate than a correctly configured mechanical brake. It also introduces more parts and a higher price.
Modularity, haptics and long-term cost
The P1000 is the ecosystem choice. Haptic reactors can signal ABS or wheel lock, the hydraulic brake and throttle change the mechanism, and the inversion kit transforms the driving position. This makes it easy to tailor, but also easy to overspend.
The P2000 supports P-HPR reactors through the included HCB, a 200 kg Load Cell, different throttle plates, heel stop and other accessories. Its core hydraulic architecture is already decided, so it suits buyers who know what they want.
The VX-PRO is more independent. All three pedals use Load Cells, positioning is flexible and ISO 10243 spring compatibility broadens mechanical tuning. Optional heel and side supports improve comfort, but it lacks the same plug-in haptic and inversion catalogue.
Cockpit requirements and practical limits
- Rigidity: all three need a solid pedal deck. A 90 kg-capable brake is unsuitable for a loose floor setup.
- Spacing: VX-PRO separate pedals offer freedom but require careful alignment. P1000 and P2000 simplify installation through a common base.
