Installation on an Aluminium Profile Rig

The SSQ-1 can be installed on a T-slot aluminium extrusion frame. Insert two M6 spring nuts into the profile slot, position them to match the shifter mounting holes, place the shifter on the profile and secure it with two M6 × 12 socket-head screws. Tighten the screws securely after alignment.

Installation on a Cockpit Mounting Plate

For a rig with a mounting plate, place the shifter on the plate and align the threaded holes underneath the unit with the plate through holes. Install and tighten the two M6 × 12 socket-head screws. The technical drawing shows eight M6 mounting positions; the supplied installation procedure uses two screws.

Mechanical Adjustments

• Handle height: use the supplied 3 mm hex wrench, loosen the four screws, slide the handle to the desired height and retighten the screws
• Detent ball replacement: use a 5 mm hex wrench to remove the two side screws, take out the spring and original ball, insert the new ball first, then the spring, and reinstall the grub screws
• Detent preload: turn the side adjustment screw clockwise to increase resistance and counter-clockwise to reduce it
• Adjust only a few degrees at a time; over-adjustment may cause improper operation
