The Sim-Lab DDS26 TorqueSync is a no-compromise 26 Nm Direct Drive wheelbase built on industrial motorsport technology. Developed with SOLO Motorcontrollers, it combines a 350 VDC servo architecture, a 100 kHz multithreaded control loop and patented TorqueSync signal processing to deliver torque response that is faster, cleaner and more precise than conventional 48V systems. Manufactured in Italy in an ISO-certified facility, TÜV SÜD approved and backed by a 4-year international warranty.
PC. The DDS26 supports iRacing and all popular racing titles on PC, and is configured through RaceDirector. It accepts Sim-Lab and GRID Engineering wheels as well as any third-party wheel using the Ø70 mm M5 bolt pattern, with data passthrough for wheels equipped with USB-C, USB-A or an internal connector. Mounting covers wheeldeck, side-mount and front-mount, including direct fitment on the Sim-Lab P1X Ultimate and P1X Pro front-mount versions without adapters.
The DDS26 is Sim-Lab's core model and hits the sweet spot for real-world power: 26 Nm of clean, controllable torque covering everything from GT to open wheel, in a shorter 380 mm housing at 11.1 kg. The DDS39 shares the identical architecture, encoder, processing, connectivity and software, adding 39 Nm and a 2,500 W stage for maximum headroom. Your wheels, rig and quick release carry over between the two.
More than enough for most drivers. Sim-Lab positions the DDS26 as the sweet spot for real-world power, with 26 Nm of clean, controllable torque covering GT through open wheel. What matters as much as peak figures is that torque is sustained without fade, and that transitions are fast — both areas where the 350 VDC architecture excels.
Voltage defines speed capability and response, current defines torque. As the motor turns faster it generates back-EMF, and a controller can only push current if its bus voltage sits above it. A 48 V system runs out of headroom sooner, so torque falls off at speed and transitions slow down. The 350 VDC bus keeps torque available across a wider speed range and delivers a higher slew rate — sharper, more lifelike feedback exactly when you catch a slide or clip a kerb.
Yes, provided they use the Ø70 mm M5 bolt pattern. The ecosystem is fully open: any wheel supporting standard USB connects without adapters or licences, and the quick release slipring carries full data and power, so displays, LEDs and telemetry modules keep working normally.
The DDS26 ships fully compatible with iRacing using the standard force feedback path. The optional 360 Hz mode is not in the day-one build: the control stack already handles high-rate torque processing, so it will be enabled through a firmware and software update once the integration is finalised. No hardware change needed.
No. The 1,500 W peak-rated power supply is integrated into the housing — a single mains cable powers the base. At this power level no suitable consumer external unit exists, so integration also means shorter power paths, better thermal management and a cleaner setup.
Most users go from unboxing to their first lap in under 15 minutes. The base bolts directly onto Sim-Lab rigs such as the P1X Ultimate and P1X Pro without adapters, with dual mounting rails on all four sides and a front-mount interface.
