Sector17 WindSim V2
The Sector17 WindSim V2 is a wind simulator for PC sim racing, driven by SimHub over USB. Two fans with direct 25 kHz PWM control and two independent left/right channels blow air towards the driver according to your speed and the SimHub wind effects. Three fan versions are available (Silent, Sport, Performance), each in a Standard version with hoses and nozzles or a Compact version mounted directly on the chassis. Designed, assembled and tested by Sector17.

- 25 kHz PWM control: 4-wire PWM fans driven directly at 25 kHz, replacing the Motor Shield of the V1, for more precise and responsive airflow.
- Two independent channels: left and right fans react separately to SimHub data for cornering and aerodynamic effects.
- New V2 nozzles: angled outlet that follows the natural airflow, with less flow break-up, turbulence and noise than the straight V1 outlet (Standard version).
- Flexible 76 mm hoses: extendable up to 100 cm to place both air outlets freely around the cockpit (Standard version).
- Three fan versions: Silent for low noise, Sport for balance, Performance for maximum airflow and the fastest response.
- Four finishes: red, black, blue or grey control box, nozzles and trim.

Important notes
- On the Compact version, the chosen colour applies to the control box and trim parts only. The Compact fan mounts are always supplied in black.
- Sound levels are the manufacturer's figures, measured at 1 metre.
- The drafting effect only works in games that send the required data to SimHub.
Compatibility
PC only, through SimHub. In SimHub you can set the wind strength according to vehicle speed, the left and right fans independently, the Left/Right Wind Curving effects, the drafting effect, a minimum cockpit ventilation and the minimum and maximum power of the system. The Standard version fits any cockpit thanks to its flexible hoses; the Compact version is designed to be fixed directly on the simulator chassis. Not compatible with consoles.
Which model to choose
- V2 Silent: comfort first, the quietest version (62 dB at full power).
- V2 Sport: the balance between airflow and responsiveness for all-round use.
- V2 Performance: the strongest airflow (224 CFM) and the fastest response (≈ 1.5 s), but also the loudest.
- Standard or Compact: choose Standard to aim the air precisely at the driver with nozzles and hoses, Compact for a simpler installation with the fans fixed on the chassis.
FAQ
Does the WindSim V2 work on console?
No. It is controlled by SimHub, which runs on Windows PC only.
Which software do I need?
SimHub, available for free. Once configured, the WindSim runs automatically during your sim racing sessions.
What is the difference with the WindSim V1?
The V2 replaces the Motor Shield control with direct 25 kHz PWM control of the fans, adds new angled nozzles and redesigned electronics, wiring and finishes.
Who handles warranty and after-sales service?
The French Simracer handles after-sales service for this product, with a France-based contact. You benefit from the 2-year legal warranty, or the manufacturer warranty if longer.

Changed your mind? You have 14 days from receipt of your order (or of the last parcel) to withdraw, without giving any reason and without any penalty.

A clear statement is enough: no prior authorization is required. You may use the model form (Annex I of our Terms of Sale), but you don’t have to. We will then send you the return address and practical shipping information.
Sending the product back
Send the product back within 14 days of your request. Return shipping costs are paid by you, unless the product is defective, non-conforming or was sent in error. We recommend tracked and insured shipping, preferably in the original packaging.
Bulky items (seats, chassis, cockpits): contact us to arrange transport. They should be returned disassembled and carefully repacked, with your own carrier or with ours on a quote you accept in advance (the cost is then deducted from the refund).
Condition of the product
You may handle the product as you would in a shop to check its nature, characteristics and proper functioning: the refund is then full. If it has been handled beyond that (signs of use, installation, scratches, damaged threads, missing accessories…), a reduction proportional to the depreciation observed may apply, generally 5% to 35% of the price. We tell you its amount and reasons in writing before the refund.
Refund
We refund the product and the outbound delivery at the standard rate (excluding express or premium surcharges) within 14 days of receiving your decision. We may wait until we have received the product or your proof of shipment, whichever comes first. The refund is made to your original payment method, free of charge. Store credit is only possible if you ask for it, and that choice does not change any reduction.

Sale and discounted items remain covered by the 14-day period.
Defective or damaged product
Email us at contact@thefrenchsimracer.com with the invoice, a description of the defect and photos. We will repair, replace, reduce the price or refund as provided by the legal guarantee, and return shipping is at our expense. Reporting a damaged parcel within 3 business days helps with the carrier claim, without reducing your rights.
Guarantees
All our products are covered by the 2-year legal guarantee of conformity from delivery and by the guarantee against hidden defects (2 years from discovery of the defect): see Article 8 of our Terms of Sale. If the manufacturer offers a longer commercial warranty, it comes on top of these legal guarantees and does not replace them.
Exchanges
We don’t do direct exchanges: return the item, then place a new order.
