Qubic System QS-TP1 Traction Pro

The Qubic System QS-TP1 Traction Pro is a 2DoF motion platform (surge + yaw) that puts the rear of the car under you: oversteer, braking, acceleration and road texture. Two actuators run the length of the frame around a fixed front pivot, so the whole cockpit swings around its nose the way a car does when the rear lets go. Run it on its own with your cockpit on top, or mount it under a QS-210 or QS-220 3DOF actuator set for a five-axis platform. Designed and made in Poland (EU).

Key features

  • Surge + yaw: ±30 mm surge and ±8° yaw for traction loss, braking and acceleration cues.
  • Latency under 8 ms: the platform reacts to telemetry fast enough for you to feel the slide begin while there is still time to correct it.
  • Front pivot design: drive both actuators together for surge, against each other for pure rotation of the rear around a fixed point.
  • Standalone or 5 axes: works with a cockpit directly on top, or under QS-210 / QS-220 3DOF actuators for up to five axes, without replacing anything you already own.
  • Road detail without a bass shaker: road harshness, rumble strips, engine vibrations, gear changes and ABS (vibration range 0–100 Hz).
  • Flat-pack delivery: the kit ships in three compact cartons that fit through standard doors, no pallet or forklift needed.
  • Two versions: self-assembly kit or pre-assembled, with the same hardware and specifications.
  • Qubic Manager software: free licence (activated with the QS-TP1 serial number), plug-and-play with major racing and flight titles on PC, VR motion compensation ready.

Technical specifications

  • Architecture: 2DoF (surge + yaw)
  • Surge: ±30 mm (60 mm stroke)
  • Yaw: ±8°
  • Max payload: 250 kg (551.2 lb)
  • Max acceleration: up to 0.6 G
  • Max velocity: up to 400 mm/s
  • Latency: <8 ms
  • Vibration range: 0–100 Hz
  • Total length: 1271 mm (50.04 in)
  • Total width: 850 mm (33.46 in)
  • Total height: 273 mm with cockpit adapters / 238 mm with actuator cups
  • Operating footprint: 1294 × 493 mm
  • Platform weight: 86 kg (189.6 lb)
  • Cockpit width range: 540–650 mm (adapters, inside mounting) / 646–756 mm (adapters, outside mounting) / 650–750 mm (actuator cups)
  • Power supply: 120/230 VAC ±10%, 50–60 Hz, single phase with ground and neutral
  • Power draw (230 V): 0.95 kVA average / 1.0 kVA peak, 5 A average / 14 A peak
  • Power draw (120 V): 0.8 kVA average / 0.85 kVA peak, 7 A average / 23 A peak
  • Connection: USB and Ethernet socket included
  • Software: Qubic Manager (PC)

In the box

  • QS-TP1 platform: three cartons plus the actuator set (self-assembly kit) or core platform pre-assembled
  • Cockpit adapter brackets (two mounting orientations)
  • Captive cups for a QS-210 / QS-220 3DOF actuator set
  • Assembly tools, gloves, slider grease and threadlocker (kit)

Important notes

  • QS-MC6 controller not included: required if the QS-TP1 is your only Qubic device. If you already run a Qubic platform, the QS-TP1 joins its existing motion lock circuit through the CFG switch settings.
  • Cockpit not included. Floor anchor bolts are not included either, as they depend on your floor.
  • Assembly: a few hours, in a fixed order (bottom frame, top frame, actuators, joining the two, then powered geometry and motion tests). You will need a tape measure, a torque wrench and about 2 × 2 m of clear floor.
  • Electrical installation: a residual current circuit breaker is required.
  • Anchoring: recommended when the QS-TP1 stands on the floor. A platform resting on actuators is a different installation, so choose your configuration before you build.
  • Follow the Qubic System product manual for installation and setup requirements.

Compatibility

  • Cockpits: aluminium profile cockpits from 540 to 756 mm wide (21.26 to 29.76 in).
  • Qubic System QS-210 / QS-220 (3DOF): mounts under the actuator set for a five-axis platform; the QS-210/220 handles body motion (lateral accelerations, vertical G-force, roll, pitch) and the QS-TP1 handles traction loss.
  • QS-210 / QS-220 + Pivot (2DOF): announced as coming soon by Qubic System.
  • Qubic System QS-BT1: compatible. The platform moves you in surge and yaw while the belt tensioner works on your shoulders and chest.
  • Platform: PC with Qubic Manager. Supported games depend on the telemetry each title exposes; some effects are not supported by every game.

Which model to choose

  • Self-assembly kit: three cartons plus the actuator set, built by you with the step-by-step manual. Ideal if you want to know your platform inside out.
  • Pre-assembled: the core platform arrives largely built; you complete the installation, mount your cockpit and calibrate. A good choice for showrooms, commercial installations or if you want to drive sooner.
  • QS-TP1 or QS-CH2? Both cover traction loss. The QS-TP1 rotates further (±8.0° yaw vs ±7.2°) and ships as a kit or pre-assembled. The QS-CH2 travels further in surge and carries more, in one pre-built unit sized for a permanent rig.

FAQ

What does the QS-TP1 add to my QS-210 or QS-220 platform?

Surge and yaw. Your actuators move the car body up, down and side to side; the QS-TP1 goes underneath them and rotates it, which is what oversteer, traction loss and braking feel like. Together, that is a five-axis platform.

Can I use the QS-TP1 without vertical actuators?

Yes, with a cockpit mounted directly on the platform. That setup delivers traction loss, braking, acceleration, road harshness and rumble strips. QS-210 or QS-220 actuators can be added later without replacing anything.

Do I need a QS-MC6 controller?

Yes, if the QS-TP1 is your only Qubic device. The QS-MC6 is sold separately. If you already run a Qubic platform, the QS-TP1 joins its existing motion lock circuit.

Is the software included?

Yes. Qubic Manager is required and the licence is free of charge; the QS-TP1 serial number is needed for activation.

What power supply is required?

120/230 VAC ±10%, 50–60 Hz, single phase with ground and neutral. A residual current circuit breaker is required.

Who handles warranty and after-sales service?

The French Simracer handles after-sales service for the Qubic System QS-TP1, with a France-based contact. You benefit from the 2-year legal warranty, or the manufacturer warranty if longer.
