Which model to choose

The Podium Pedals Sport and the Podium Pedals Formula share the same architecture: forged aluminium brake arm, 200+ kg load cell, Compression Control System, throttle assembly, electronics and software. The difference lies in the pedal plates — GT-style aluminium on the Sport, formula-style carbon fibre plates and heel cups on the Formula. The Sport is the more accessible route into the range for GT, touring and endurance driving; the Formula targets open-wheel positions where carbon heel cups and integrated side supports lock the feet in place.

What is the difference with the Podium Pedals Formula?

Mechanically, the two sets are identical: same forged aluminium brake arm, same 200+ kg load cell, same Compression Control System, same throttle and the same electronics. The Formula uses formula-style carbon fibre pedal plates with heel cups and integrated side supports, while the Sport uses GT-style aluminium pedal plates — a more accessible route into the range without compromising on brake feel.

Can I add a clutch pedal later?

Yes. The Podium Pedals clutch module is sold separately and expands the set to a three-pedal configuration.

Does it work on console?

Yes, through your Base. On PlayStation 4 and 5 it requires a PlayStation-licensed Fanatec Base; on Xbox One and Series X|S it requires a supported Fanatec Base together with an Xbox-licensed steering wheel. On PC it also works standalone over USB, with no Base required.

Do my custom brake curves work on console?

Yes. Curves and dead zones are configured in the Fanatec App and saved to the pedals' internal memory, so they remain active on console platforms. Curve selection is also available directly from the Tuning Menu.

What does the Compression Control System actually do?

It uses a bespoke elastomer stack with threaded metal cups acting as mechanical limiters. That keeps the elastomers within their rated range, so the brake feel stays consistent through the full travel and over time. Closing the cups fully removes travel entirely for a "brick wall" pedal; staggering them creates a progressive ramp in stiffness as you approach maximum braking.
