The Fanatec CSL Universal Hub V2 turns a wheel rim into a complete steering wheel for your Fanatec base. Its stepless slider expands by 60 mm to move the button islands and shifter paddles to the size of your rim, and its 3 × 50 mm and 6 × 70 mm threaded holes take all current Fanatec wheel rims as well as many MOMO, Sparco or OMP rims. It ships with the QR2 Lite Wheel-side quick release pre-installed and brings many of the features of the ClubSport Universal Hub at a lower price.

Important notes

• Wheel rim and wheel base not included: a compatible Fanatec wheel base is required.
• Large dished rims: buttons and paddles are hard to reach with large, dished rims. The ClubSport Wheel Rim GT (320 mm, no dish) works well; the Podium Wheel Rim NASCAR (350 mm, dished) does not.
• Third-party wheels with a USB cable: can be used on all compatible Fanatec bases, but direct USB connectivity through the hub is not possible.
• Not compatible with the Podium Button Module Endurance.
• Firmware: a firmware update of the base may be necessary.

• Fanatec wheel bases (depending on the installed quick release): Podium Wheel Base DD1, DD2 and DD1 PS4™, ClubSport DD, ClubSport DD+, ClubSport Wheel Base V2 and V2.5, CSL Elite Wheel Base, V1.1 and + (PS4™), CSL DD, Gran Turismo DD Pro.
• Wheel rims: all current Fanatec wheel rims, and third-party rims with a 6 × 70 mm or 3 × 50 mm bolt pattern (e.g. Sparco, MOMO, OMP).
• PC: compatible with Windows PC.
• PlayStation: on PS4, functionality can be limited by the console (firmware/OS and developer support); full functionality is only guaranteed on PC and depends on the game. For PS5, check Fanatec’s platform compatibility page.
• Xbox: not compatible.

Which model to choose

• CSL Universal Hub V2: the most affordable way to build a complete wheel with buttons, paddles and display on a rim of your choice, for PC and PlayStation.
• ClubSport Universal Hub V2 for Xbox: the higher-end ClubSport version, Xbox-licensed, with magnetic paddle shifters and QR2 Wheel-side.
• Fanatec Wheel Hub: no buttons or display; it simply mounts a third-party wheel on a Fanatec Direct Drive base and activates force feedback (PC only).

FAQ

Which wheel rims fit the CSL Universal Hub V2?

All current Fanatec wheel rims, plus third-party rims with a 6 × 70 mm or 3 × 50 mm bolt pattern, such as many MOMO, Sparco or OMP rims. Large, dished rims make the buttons and paddles hard to reach.

Does it work on Xbox?

No. The CSL Universal Hub V2 is not compatible with Xbox. For Xbox, choose the ClubSport Universal Hub V2 for Xbox.

Is the quick release included?

Yes. The QR2 Lite Wheel-side comes pre-installed. The quick release is exchangeable.

Is torque limited with this hub?

No. Fanatec states that the hub has no torque limitation (a firmware update may be necessary), and the QR2 Lite allows maximum torque on ClubSport DD and Podium DD bases.
