The Fanatec CSL Steering Wheel P1 V2 is a fully featured 300 mm sim racing wheel designed as the ideal starter wheel for the CSL DD, with a rubberised rim, 12 buttons, metal shifter paddles and an integrated RevStripe with three-digit LED display. Supplied with the QR2 Lite wheel-side preinstalled, its lightweight construction preserves fine force feedback detail even at low torque settings. Covered by a 3-year warranty.

Important Notes

• A compatible Fanatec wheel base is mandatory to operate this product, and is not included.
• This wheel always limits wheel base torque to approximately 8 Nm, regardless of which quick release is used.
• The full torque of a CSL DD or Gran Turismo DD Pro fitted with the Boost Kit 180 remains available, even with the preinstalled QR2 Lite wheel-side.
• This wheel is supplied with a QR2 wheel-side. If your wheel base cannot be upgraded to QR2, a QR1 wheel-side must be purchased separately.

Compatibility

The CSL Steering Wheel P1 V2 is compatible with Windows PC and with the Fanatec wheel bases listed below. It is not compatible with Xbox systems. On PlayStation 4, functionality can be limited by the capabilities of the console and is game-dependent; full functionality is only guaranteed on PC. FAQ

Why is torque limited to 8 Nm?

The CSL Steering Wheel P1 V2 is designed for entry-level Direct Drive use, and always limits wheel base torque to approximately 8 Nm regardless of the quick release fitted. On a CSL DD or Gran Turismo DD Pro equipped with the Boost Kit 180, however, the full torque of the base remains available even with the preinstalled QR2 Lite wheel-side.

Which bases can I use it on?

All Fanatec bases from the CSL DD and Gran Turismo DD Pro up to the Podium DD1 and DD2, including the ClubSport DD and DD+ and the belt-driven ClubSport V2 / V2.5 and CSL Elite ranges. Bear in mind the 8 Nm limitation described above when pairing it with a high-torque base.

Do I need to buy a quick release?

Not if your base is QR2-equipped: the QR2 Lite wheel-side is preinstalled and ready to use. If your wheel base cannot be upgraded to QR2, a QR1 wheel-side must be purchased separately.

Does it work on console?

It is not compatible with Xbox systems. On PC, functionality is complete. On PS4, some functions can be limited by the console and depend on the game; for PlayStation 5, check the Fanatec platform compatibility page before ordering.

What can the LED display show?

The RevStripe acts as a combined centre stripe and multi-colour RPM indicator, while the three-digit LED display below it shows telemetry data such as speed or gear in compatible games and third-party software. Both also serve to navigate the on-wheel Tuning Menu.
