Conspit CDR Quick Release

The Conspit CDR is the wheel-side half of Conspit's NRG-style quick release, used on the Ares Apex 8 Nm and the CDR versions of the Ares 12 and Ares 20 Platinum. Push the wheel on and it locks automatically; pull the ring to release it. The wheel's signal passes through pogo pins with no cable, and the 50 mm bolt pattern with three Ø5 mm holes takes Conspit wheels or, with the 50–70 mm spacer, third-party wheels.

Important notes

This is the wheel side only. The base side is built into CDR bases, and is sold separately as the Conspit CDR base side for other Ares bases. Not compatible with CDP bases.

Which bases work with the Conspit CDR quick release?

The Conspit CDR fits the Ares Apex 8 Nm CDR, the CDR versions of the Ares 12 and Ares 20 Platinum, and any Ares base fitted with the Conspit CDR base side.

Can I use a third-party wheel with the Conspit CDR?

Yes. The Conspit CDR has a 50 mm bolt pattern, and the 50–70 mm spacer takes wheels with a 70 mm pattern. A third-party wheel needs its own USB connection, for example through the Conspit USB-A adapter spacer.

How do I release the wheel?

Pull the ring on the Conspit CDR and the wheel comes off. Pushing it back on locks it automatically.
