Conspit Quick Release CDP

The Conspit CDP is the wheel-side quick release for Conspit Ares bases fitted with the CDP system, such as the Ares 12 and Ares 20 Platinum CDP. A CNC-machined 7075 aluminium claw carries the torque while a ball detent holds the wheel lengthwise, a design taken from single-seater racing cars. The wheel's signal passes through spring contacts, so there is no cable to plug in. It is used to fit a Conspit wheel, or a third-party wheel with the 50–70 mm adapter, on a CDP base.

Key features

  • CNC-machined 7075 aluminium claw for torque transmission
  • Ball detent for axial locking
  • Zero play, even after long use
  • Signal through spring contacts, no cable
  • Compatible with the 50–70 mm PCD adapter for third-party wheels

  • Conspit CDR: NRG-style quick release with automatic locking and pull-ring release, 50 mm PCD, pogo pin signal. Wheel side and base side sold separately.
  • Conspit Quick-Con Adapter: 70 mm PCD quick release with its own USB cable, to fit a Conspit wheel on another brand's base.

FAQ

What is the difference between the Conspit CDP and CDR quick releases?

The Conspit CDP uses a claw and ball lock and is built into the Ares 12 and 20 Platinum CDP bases. The CDR is an NRG-style quick release with automatic locking and a pull ring, used on the Ares Apex and the CDR versions of the Ares 12 and 20 Platinum. The two are not interchangeable.

Can I mount a third-party wheel on the Conspit CDP?

Yes, with the Conspit 50–70 mm PCD spacer, which takes a 70 mm bolt pattern wheel. The wheel then needs its own USB connection to the PC.

Does the Conspit CDP have play?

No. The claw carries the torque and the ball holds the wheel lengthwise, so the Conspit CDP stays free of play even after long use.

Who handles warranty and after-sales service?

The French Simracer handles after-sales service for the Conspit CDP quick release, as for every brand it sells, with a contact based in France. You never deal with the manufacturer directly. The product carries the 2-year legal warranty, or the manufacturer warranty if longer.
