Circuit One D Force 1 – 3DOF Haptic Motion System

The Circuit One D Force 1 is a 3DOF motion system with four actuators that brings real chassis movement and high-frequency haptic detail into a single cockpit upgrade. It reproduces pitch, roll and heave while layering fine vibration on top across a 0-100 Hz range, so kerbs, grip loss and surface texture come through your seat rather than just your screen — with up to 180 kg of load per axis, enough to move a full cockpit with the driver seated.

Each actuator combines chassis movement and high-frequency haptic vibration in one unit, driven by an integrated low-inertia spindle servo. The result is a motion platform that feels fast and detailed, with a CNC-machined aerospace-grade aluminium build designed to bolt straight onto a standard 8020 aluminium-profile cockpit in eight screws.

Key Features

  • 3DOF motion system with four actuators delivering pitch, roll and heave.
  • Motion and haptics in one unit: the 0-100 Hz range reproduces both large chassis movement and high-frequency detail, with no separate shaker system needed.
  • 180 kg of load per axis: handles a full cockpit, Direct Drive base, hydraulic pedals and driver without compromise.
  • Integrated low-inertia spindle servo drive for fast, precise actuation with no perceptible lag.
  • CNC-machined aerospace-grade aluminium alloy construction — rigid, lightweight and built for long-term use.
  • Compact LINK control box: a space-saving controller that tucks under or behind your rig, replacing bulky external units.
  • Eight-screw installation: a complete four-axis setup in an afternoon, with no adapters on a standard 8020 profile.
  • One non-polarized cable per axis: connects in either orientation, removing the most common wiring mistake.
  • Versatile mounting: hidden installation on aluminium-profile rigs, or standalone placement using the supplied base cup mounts.
  • RGB lighting linked to telemetry: events such as ABS, traction control or flags can be mapped to colour and blink patterns, and switched off entirely for a cleaner look.
  • Circuit Manager software (free, Windows): ready-made presets, per-axis adjustment, RGB telemetry mapping, a built-in game launcher and OTA firmware updates.

Compatibility and Setup Notes

The D Force 1 runs on Windows PC. The free Circuit Manager app is required to operate the system, and brings ready-made presets, per-axis adjustment, RGB telemetry mapping, a built-in game launcher and OTA firmware updates. It is not compatible with Xbox.

Installation is designed for standard 8020 aluminium-profile cockpits. The actuators mount with M8 x 20 mm hardware and the LINK box with M4 x 14 mm — eight screws and no adapters on a standard 8020 profile. Actuators can also be placed standalone using the supplied base cup mounts. Each axis uses a single, non-polarized cable that can be connected in either orientation, which keeps assembly straightforward and reduces wiring errors.

Important Notes

  • Circuit Manager software (Windows) is required to operate the system.
  • Not compatible with Xbox.
  • Maximum load figures are stated per actuator / per axis, not as a single total payload.
  • Designed for standard 8020 aluminium-profile cockpits.
  • Keep hands and feet away from the actuators and the area beneath the seat while the system is running.

FAQ

Does the D Force 1 provide motion or haptic vibration?

Both, in the same units. It combines cockpit movement across three axes — pitch, roll and heave — with high-frequency haptic vibration, thanks to its 0-100 Hz range and 50 mm of travel per actuator. There is no need for a separate shaker system.

Can it move a full rig with a Direct Drive base and hydraulic pedals?

Yes. Each of the four actuators supports up to 180 kg per axis, which covers a complete cockpit with its Direct Drive base, hydraulic pedals, screens and the driver seated.

Will the D Force 1 fit my existing rig?

In most cases, yes. The four actuators mount directly onto standard 8020 aluminium profile with the supplied hardware, or can be positioned standalone with the base cup mounts. The complete four-axis installation takes eight screws. If you are unsure about your specific cockpit, contact us with your rig details and we will check it for you.

Does it use SimHub, or its own software?

The D Force 1 runs on Circuit One's own Circuit Manager software, designed specifically to pair with the D Force 1 firmware. It is built for low latency and a lightweight setup, with presets, per-axis tuning, a game launcher and OTA firmware updates.

How does the RGB lighting work?

The onboard RGB lighting links directly to your telemetry feed, so colour and behaviour respond live to what happens in the sim — ABS, traction control or flag signals can each be mapped to their own colour and blink pattern. It is fully adjustable in Circuit Manager, and can be switched off entirely.

Is installation complicated?

No. Eight screws are enough for the complete four-axis setup on a standard 8020 profile, with no adapters. Wiring uses one non-polarized cable per axis, so it cannot be connected the wrong way round.
